Samuel Kolawole Akinyemi is a young purpose driven entrepreneur with practical experiences in the public and private sectors. He is a strategic, industrious, resourceful and pragmatic media entrepreneur and convener of the African Humanitarian Awards Akinyemi’s career as a journalist began with National Mirror where he wrote on the business desk, before he went on to work with the Lagos State Civil Service Commission. But in 2013, he established Elgee Info Media, a trailblazing community magazine, situated in Lagos State. It began professionally in July 2014, with a mission to bridge the gap of local information management system between the last tier of government and the people.
His entrepreneurship spirit as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Elgee Info Media makes him very enthusiastic about human development as he upholds the belief that when the teeming youths of a nation are equipped with the needed orientation and right skill set, it will be possible for a nation to excel immeasurably. It is, therefore, due to this conviction that he is always ready to engage and work with youths as an employer of labour. Little wonder Elgee Info Media is dominated by innovative youths with tenacity and vision.

1. Nominees must be individuals or organizations based in Africa
2. Nominees must demonstrate a significant positive impact on community development, healthcare, education, sport or any of the humanitarian service categories.
3. Nominees must have demonstrated a consistent impact over a 2year period.
4. Nominees should have sustainable projects or initiatives with the potential for long-term impact.
5. Nominees should demonstrate innovative approaches to addressing challenges within their field.
6. Nominees should be able to quantify the impact of their work through data and metrics.
